Sunport Hall Takamatsu, Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan.
December 1-2, 2011.
Information created by people has increased rapidly and now we are in a time which we could call the information-explosion era.
To cope with such a large-scale information space,
novel algorithms and data structures are desired for solving various problems in the area of knowledge discovery.
This workshop aims to exchange fresh ideas on large-scale data
processing in the problems such as data mining,
clustering, machine learning, statistical analysis, and other computational aspects of knowledge discovery problems.
This workshop is a part
of JSAI international symposia, and
supported by JST ERATO Minato Project.
In this year, special emphasis is placed on succinct data structures including rank/select dictionaries, LOUDS, FM-index and wavelet trees. We invite three prominent scientists working in this emerging field.
Short abstracts (2-6 page) should be prepared in the
LNAI style
and submitted in PDF format to alsip2011 [at mark] gmail.com.
The abstracts are circulated only among the participants and do not appear in the web.
The authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit their full papers (10-14 pages) for the volume
"JSAI-isAI 2011 selected papers" (Lecture Note in Artificial Intelligence).
In addition to completely novel work, you can present your latest work
published or to be published elsewhere. In this case, however, we do not
invite the authors for LNAI proceedings. Please clearly note in your
e-mail if you wish to publish your full paper in LNAI or not.
